meet Janet Gampe

Janet joined Bedrock Fiduciaries™ in early 2025 as a case manager to assist our clients and work closely with the rest of the team on all matters. She brings with her a strong belief in helping others and alleviating life’s challenges, values Janet embodies every day. Before embarking on her own journey to become a licensed fiduciary, she intends to take some time to gain a thorough understanding of the fiduciary role. This will enable her to provide even better service to our Bedrock clients and contribute to the company’s continued growth.

Janet graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona (with a major in Communication). Her career initially took off in the automotive industry, where she crossed paths with Gene at Nissan North America. Driven by a desire to expand her knowledge and skills, when Nissan left California Janet embarked on a journey with various interactive agencies where she honed her skills in strategy development and account management. To support a friend’s new venture, she also took on a stint as a wedding coordinator. These growth experiences combined with her genuine desire to assist families during challenging times, fueled in part by her experience with her own family, help her support Bedrock’s ongoing quest to improve service and add real value to our clients’ lives and affairs.

JANET GAMPE’S STORY

I am the first-generation daughter of immigrant parents. My first language was Cantonese, and though English is now my primary language I still retain most of my original language skills. I learned early on that family comes first, so I knew I would eventually be responsible for caring for my parents. The truth, though, is that I didn’t know how much that would mean until 2016 when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Suddenly, I was thrust into the world of healthcare and didn’t know how to navigate it. My father was diagnosed with another cancer in 2019, and my world changed again. My mother, who usually handled the household, was overwhelmed with the diagnosis. I had to step in and coordinate their expenses, from medical decisions to tax returns and rental properties.

This experience taught me the profound significance of estate planning and the intricate challenges clients face in understanding the legal and financial intricacies of their families’ lives. Like Gene, I often wondered about the consequences of being alone or facing family conflicts. I wondered how such situations would be resolved. When Gene founded Bedrock Fiduciaries, I was unfamiliar with what a licensed fiduciary does. After experiencing the difficulties, emotions, and stress I endured with my own family, I felt drawn to the profession so that I could assist others in navigating these challenges. I look forward to helping you navigate your journey.

When I’m not helping our clients, I have my own little one to care for. We spend a lot of time at the park, beach, and exploring all that Southern California has to offer. The best part is that I get to experience it all through the eyes of a child.
